The line that stuck with me was "how can we train ourselves to trust softness." Made me wonder if the old machine-mode was less about output, more about protecting some younger fear that slowing down meant disappearing. Grateful Leigh put that so plainly.

Thank you for the title of this and sharing your interview with Leigh. There was a lot to slow down and take in, but it was all helpful. This one in particular about not being a machine really resonated with me.

Yes she was very generous and I’m glad she was willing to share. I am going to look for her most recent book along with some of the other writing listed at the end of your post.
