I know I am late in reading this, but I feel this in so many ways-- reminds me of many moments with my daughter-- 8 years old now-- and moments when she needed me-- and moments when she now says ‘stop it, Mom’. 😫
I love your stories/reports about your growing-up kids. In my experience, that means parents keep growing up as well. We take care of the little kids as they learn to take care of themselves, and now I'm finding that my kids, now adults, help take care of me as I've become old, a widow with Alzheimers Disease.

Thank you so much for reading, Dana, and for sharing this. Such a tricky balance!
