This is so good, Emily. Really gets the quality of having too many things to do in too little time with too little energy. It goes with motherhood, though--you'll be pleased to hear, diminishes as the kids grow up. I'm so glad that you're noting these moments of frustration, fury, out-of-ideas-ism down on paper.

Just what I needed to read. I think you touched on what many of us face; we should be more, write more, win something, and yet that's not the reason I write (well, some of the time it is). Reading this, knowing that so many of us, especially women, have those negative voices. Your thoughts help me to at least try to get them out of my head.

Thank you Emily for sharing this. It drives home what so many of us women/female writers struggle with. This really resonated with me today and I love that you are able to take the time to remind all of us that we need to be the writer we are now and that is enough.

This is beautiful, Emily. It really touched my heart today. Can so relate to those negative voices in my head, nagging me about what kind of writer I should be. Thank you for this today.
